Structure Health Checkup workshop: examine your existing/proposed organization chart in terms of lines of business under each manager, spot the problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Abstract

Organizational structure is a science. An examination of any organization chart can reveal its strengths and weaknesses -- who's set up to fight with whom, and who's set up to fail.

This two-day workshop teaches a leadership team the basic principles of organizational design. It gives your leadership team a solid understanding of the science of structure.

Then, these principles are applied to your current (or a proposed) organization chart to reveal its strengths and weaknesses, and adjustments that will significant improve everybody's performance. This participative diagnosis ascertains the opportunities and need for change.

If you're just considering a restructuring, this session will position you to decide whether change is needed, and whether that change should be just a "tweak" of the current structure or a "clean sheet of paper" restructuring.

If you're about to release a new organizational structure, this session will greatly improve your odds of success; indeed, it may help you avoid a fiasco. Think of it as an insurance policy.
